Advanced hair transplantation: natural results, zero scarring, rapid recovery.
FUE Hair Transplant
FUE HAIR RESTORATION
FUE (follicular unit excision) and FUT (follicular unit transplantation) refer to the methods used to harvest grafts. Recipient site creation and follicular unit implantation follow the same stages in both techniques. In FUE hair transplantation, follicular units are individually excised and extracted from the donor area.
In practical terms, grafts are harvested one by one. They are counted and sorted under a microscope to ensure absolute precision. Recipient sites are then created using specialised surgical instruments, precisely determining hair density, angle and direction. The grafts are subsequently placed in the recipient area. To optimise graft preservation and viability, we use HypoThermosol and ATP preservation solutions alongside controlled cooling systems. This ensures optimal temperature conditions and carefully controlled out-of-body time until implantation. Once the follicular units are removed from the scalp, the clock starts ticking.
The procedure is performed under local anaesthesia in a modern operating theatre that meets all medical safety standards. When additional comfort is required, mild anxiolysis is administered with an anaesthetist present.
The advantages of FUE include
- Minimal tissue trauma
- A shorter recovery period
- A rapid return to everyday activities
- No postoperative pain
- No linear scar

How it works First, individual hair follicles are precisely extracted from the donor area under local anesthesia. The grafts are then preserved in a specialized solution and artistically implanted to match your natural hair growth direction.

Popular questions about
transplantation
What is the difference between FUE and FUT hair transplantation?
The main difference between FUE and FUT lies in how hair grafts are harvested from the donor area. In FUE (Follicular Unit Excision), follicular units are extracted individually, one by one. In FUT (Follicular Unit Transplantation), grafts are obtained from a strip of donor tissue. Both techniques follow the same stages for recipient site creation and graft implantation.
How is the FUE hair transplantation procedure performed?
During FUE hair transplantation, individual follicular units are carefully extracted from the donor area, counted and sorted under a microscope. Specialised surgical instruments are then used to create recipient sites, ensuring precise control over hair density, angle and direction. Finally, the harvested grafts are implanted into the recipient area.
How are hair grafts preserved during the FUE procedure?
To maximise graft preservation and viability, specialised HypoThermosol and ATP preservation solutions are used alongside controlled cooling systems. These help maintain optimal temperature conditions and minimise the time grafts remain outside the body before implantation.
Is FUE hair transplantation painful, and how long is the recovery?
FUE hair transplantation is performed under local anaesthesia to ensure patient comfort. Mild anxiolysis may also be provided under the supervision of an anaesthetist when needed. The technique offers minimal tissue trauma, a relatively short recovery period, minimal postoperative discomfort and a rapid return to everyday activities. Unlike FUT, FUE does not leave a linear scar.
