Hair PRP

Hair PRP

Platelet-rich plasma (PRP) for hair is a non-surgical autologous treatment that improves scalp hair density. It is a widely documented regenerative medicine technique that has been used for decades across numerous medical specialties. A small blood sample is taken and centrifuged to isolate plasma rich in platelets and growth factors. Injections are administered into the scalp using a mesotherapy technique, with emphasis on the areas requiring the most support.

PRP

  • Strengthens hair follicles
  • Supports cellular renewal
  • Increases hair shaft thickness
  • Prolongs the hair growth phase (anagen phase)
  • Improves microcirculation

Unlike certain drug treatments, PRP has no adverse effects. The procedure is well tolerated, brief and safe, with no downtime. The treatment schedule is individualised according to clinical assessment. Results are expected to become visible after the first 2 to 3 months. Maintenance treatments are needed after completion of the initial course. At our clinic, PRP is used as a standalone treatment, in combination with medication, and as supportive treatment following hair transplantation.

Popular questions about hair PRP

PRP (Platelet-Rich Plasma) is a non-surgical treatment that uses the patient’s own blood to support hair growth and improve hair density. A small blood sample is collected and centrifuged to isolate plasma rich in platelets and growth factors. This plasma is then injected into targeted areas of the scalp to stimulate hair follicles and support hair regeneration.

PRP treatment helps strengthen hair follicles, increase hair shaft thickness, support cellular renewal and prolong the hair growth phase. It also promotes scalp microcirculation. The procedure is brief, generally well tolerated and requires little to no downtime.

Visible improvements may begin within 2 to 3 months, depending on the individual’s condition and response to treatment. The treatment schedule is personalised following clinical assessment, and maintenance sessions are recommended. PRP can be used as a standalone treatment, combined with medication or as supportive therapy following hair transplantation.
