Tattoo removal pico laser

The picosecond laser makes it possible to remove tattoos that no longer express who you are, quickly and effectively. Gentlemen Clinic uses advanced technology requiring fewer sessions than any other method. Its innovative mechanism delivers excellent results even on colours such as yellow, green and blue, which are inherently more difficult to treat.

The technology behind the picosecond laser.
The picosecond laser belongs to the category of lasers that act through photomechanical effects. It emits extremely short pulses of light, lasting picoseconds (trillionths of a second), which act as shock waves, breaking tattoo pigment into tiny particles. These are naturally cleared through macrophages and the lymphatic system, gradually fading the tattoo. As these wavelengths are absorbed exclusively by pigment particles, the treatment can be used on all skin types while leaving the surrounding skin intact, without injury or additional stress. The number of sessions varies according to the tattoo’s size, colour and age. On average, 6 to 8 sessions are required, spaced 30 to 45 days apart.

Treatment is safe and painless with topical anaesthetic cream. Temporary redness and limited swelling in the treated area are expected after a laser tattoo removal session and resolve fully over the following days. (Until the area has healed completely, avoid further skin irritation, prolonged or excessive contact with water, and exposure to irritating substances and detergents. Swimming in the sea or a pool, hot tubs and saunas should also be avoided, as should sun exposure until healing is complete. Once the skin has recovered, regular use of high-protection sunscreen, SPF 50+, is essential to prevent pigmentation changes.) Autumn is the most suitable time to begin treatment, when sunlight is less intense.

Popular questions about
Tattoo removal pico laser

Pico Laser tattoo removal is an advanced, non-surgical treatment that uses ultra-short laser pulses to break tattoo pigment into tiny particles. These particles are gradually eliminated by the body’s natural processes, allowing the tattoo to fade over time. The technology can effectively target a wide range of tattoo colours, including challenging shades such as green, blue and yellow.

On average, 6 to 8 sessions are required, typically spaced 30 to 45 days apart. The exact number depends on the tattoo’s size, colour, age and pigment characteristics, as well as the individual’s skin response. A personalised treatment plan is developed following clinical assessment.

Pico Laser tattoo removal is generally well tolerated with the application of a topical anaesthetic cream. Temporary redness and mild swelling may occur and usually subside within a few days. During healing, sun exposure, swimming pools, saunas and irritating skincare products should be avoided. Once the skin has healed, daily use of SPF 50+ sunscreen is recommended to help prevent pigmentation changes.
